T.I.

T.I. may be in trouble with the law following his recent arrest, but that didn’t stop him from helping the cops talk a suicide jumper from a ledge.

Atlanta police received a call from a man who was preparing to leap from a 22-story building in downtown ATL earlier today, reports TMZ. The building houses urban radio station V103, home to host Ryan Cameron.

When T.I. heard about the situation, he called Cameron to offer his assistance. Upon his arrival at the scene, he met with police and recorded a heartfelt video message which cops then played for the man on the roof. “Nothing is that bad,” Tip reportedly said in the video. “Nothing in life is worth taking your life. I’m here to help you. Please come down to talk to me.”

After seeing the rapper’s message, the man agreed to come down from the ledge, where he met his hero in the lobby and talked things out. Cops did not press charges against the man.

Despite his good deed, T.I. must face a federal judge on Friday for a probation revocation hearing, stemming from his arrest for felony drug possession in September.
