T.I.

T.I. is on the comeback trail. The ATLien taped an episode of “VH1 Storytellers: T.I.” last night at Manhattan Center Studio in New York City, performing never-before-performed cuts from his upcoming album King Uncaged. The hour-long episode, set to air on VH1 on Friday, December 10 at 11 p.m., also included live renditions of hits including “Rubberband Man,” “Bring ‘Em Out” and “Live Your Life,” as well as candid discussions with Tip between tracks.

Of the new material, the King of the South debuted the tracks “Still Ain’t Forgave Me” and “I Still Luv You,” described as a very personal track. On the introspective song, he speaks on the pain brought on by his father’s death as well as the love he has for his children, despite the fact that he became a dad at a young age. The emcee told his audience that the taping was the right time, stage and place to showcase these tunes.

Speaking between songs, T.I. also touched on other aspects of his personal life, including his stint as a drug dealer and his time in prison. He also answered questions from those in attendance, sharing what he wants to accomplish in the future and where he hopes his acting and music careers will head.

“Even when I lose faith in myself there is something in me that speaks through and says I am not finished yet,” he said. Be sure to add this highly anticipated episode to the calendar.
