After months of delays and leaked music, Usher’s sixth studio album finally has a confirmed release date.
The five-time Grammy winner will release Raymond v. Raymond on March 30, featuring the buzz single “Papers” and the Plies-assisted “Hey Daddy (Daddy’s Home),” for which a video will debut tomorrow on MTV.
Many tracks from the album have surfaced online in recent months. One of the project’s contributors, Jermaine Dupri, addressed the leaks. “I doubt you’ll get new records,” he told MTV News. “You’re gonna get what’s basically there, but it’s a solid record. His album is a solid record. People gonna love it.”
Usher will make a number of high-profile performances starting with the 52nd Annual Grammy Awards on January 31, where he will pay tribute to Michael Jackson. Other stops include the NBA All-Star Game on February 14 and Vancouver 2010 Olympic Winter Games, Nightly Victory Ceremony Concert on February 27.
