Don’t hold your breath waiting for Lil Wayne’s Rebirth. The rapper’s oft-delayed album is coming…when it’s ready.
Weezy’s rap-rock hybrid, which has been pushed back too many times to count, has a new release date, according to one of the project’s contributors, Shanell.
“Right now it’s September,” the Young Money singer, who co-wrote Wayne’s “Prom Queen,” tells staging-rapup.kinsta.cloud. “But let me tell ya’ll, great art takes time and you’ll expect it and expect it and expect it again, but when it’s perfect, you guys will receive it.”
Also look out for the Young Money compilation featuring Wayne, Gudda Gudda, Mack Maine, Jae Millz, Nicki Minaj, Lil Twist, Lil Chuckee, Omarion, Drake, and Shanell. The album’s first offering, “Every Girl,” is currently No. 16 on the Billboard Hot 100.
