Former Blink-182 drummer Travis Barker and Adam Goldstein, better known as DJ AM, were both critically injured in a fatal Learjet crash that took place shortly before midnight Friday in Columbia, South Carolina. Four people aboard the six-passenger jet were killed including the pilot, copilot, and two passengers.

The Learjet was taking off when air traffic controllers saw sparks. The plane, which was on its way to Van Nuys airport in California, veered off the end of the runway, rolled through a fence, and crashed on a nearby road.

Barker and Goldstein were in critical condition at a burn center in Augusta, GA. They had been in South Carolina for a T-Mobile-sponsored concert at popular shipping district Five Points.

Barker has worked with several hip-hop and R&B artists including The Game, Soulja Boy, and Rihanna. DJ AM is a popular DJ who used to date Nicole Richie. The pair most recently performed together at the 2008 MTV Video Music Awards.
