Jacquees is calling on some major star power for his next album.
The self-proclaimed King of R&B has revealed that Future will executive produce his upcoming album. He made the big announcement during a visit to FOX 5 Atlanta’s “Good Day Atlanta” on Friday.
“My new album drops summer of 2022 and it’s executive produced by Future,” he said.
He previously teamed up with the I Never Liked You rapper on his single “Not Jus Anybody,” which dropped last summer. Future also served as executive producer of Kanye West’s DONDA 2.
On Friday, Jacquees debuted his latest single “Say Yea.” The video for the sultry bedroom anthem features a cameo from Keith Sweat.
“I know a bunch of people thought we had problems for the whole king of R&B issue, but that’s my OG,” he said of the “Make It Last Forever” legend.
It’s been nearly two years since Jacquees released his last album, King of R&B. “It feels like a new beginning. Everything feels fresh, it feels new,” he said.
Fans can catch the Cash Money crooner performing live at the Essence Festival in July.
