Joyner Lucas is taking aim at Machine Gun Kelly after he received top billing at Lollapalooza.
In a series of tweets on Wednesday, the “Ramen & OJ” rapper called out the Chicago festival after his name was listed on the official flyer in small font under names like Don Toliver, Big Sean, Coi Leray, Tinashe, Willow, and more.
“These festivals is gon stop playing with me like I ain’t that ni**a,” said Lucas. “Putting my name next to the names of a bunch of random ni**az that nobody heard of and offering me a weak ass.”
He claims he turned down the gig, but his name was still listed on the flyer when it was released this week. “Then I say no to the offer and these hoe ass ni**az put me on the flier anyways,” he wrote.
Lucas said he feels disrespected when he sees artists “who ain’t even on my level” getting more prominent billing than him.
“Ni**az is on gon start putting respek on my name. For years I been getting these weak ass offers like I’m some lil ni**a,” he added. “Then ni**az who ain’t even on my level or doing my numbers is getting put in BIG LETTERS while they write my shit hella small on the flier.! How sway?!!”
He went on to declare himself the “biggest independent artist” aside from Tech N9ne. “And I got the numbers & the fans & the💰 to back that statement up. How is it that these festivals keep tryna bunch my name up with a bunch of ni**az who ain’t on my level?. ni**a I’m JOYNER LUCAS.”
After demanding that Lollapalooza remove his name from the lineup, Joyner took a shot at headliner Machine Gun Kelly, who is listed at the top of the flyer in the largest font alongside names like J. Cole, Lil Baby, Doja Cat, and Dua Lipa.
He shared a photo of MGK from the 2021 Billboard Music Awards with his tongue painted black and sticking out. “Then you got this goofy ass ni**a headlining? Smh how sway?” he tweeted.
He continued to trash the “emo girl” rocker, who famously beefed with Eminem. “Someone said ‘don’t bring out the rap devil’… 😭 maaaaannnn listen. Lol What my brother Marshall did to this ni**a @machinegunkelly is light compared to what’s waiting if he wanna walk down that street wit me,” said Joyner, who collaborated with Em on “Lucky You” for 2018’s Kamikaze album.
“Ain’t nobody worried bout a ni**a who paints his nails. 💅🏿 foh,” he added.
Machine Gun Kelly, who recently beefed with Slipknot, has not responded to Lucas’ disses.
