Kanye West is doing whatever he can to prevent Kim Kardashian from becoming legally single.

Earlier this week, he filed documents to make his social media posts attacking Kim, Pete Davidson, and others inadmissible in next week’s hearing.

He argues that Kim can’t prove that he wrote the posts, which she said caused her “emotional distress.”

“Kim claims she read something online allegedly by Kanye and characterizes the posts in her declaration as misinformation,” says Ye’s lawyer, according to TMZ.

While the documents don’t explicitly state that Ye didn’t write the posts, Ye wants Kim to provide evidence. “Kim needed to offer the social media posts into evidence, and show that the posts were written by Kanye,” adds Ye’s attorney.

The docs challenge the validity of the prenup, citing a presumption in California that prenups signed after 2001 are invalid. The only way they can be validated is either during a trial or if both parties agree.

Ye appears to be trying to prevent Kim from becoming legally single. He previously filed docs saying he would agree under the condition that all assets be temporarily frozen. However, she says they have a prenup which keeps all their trusts and other assets separate, and she needs access to her trust to run her businesses.

Despite Ye’s attempts, it appears unlikely the judge will stop Kim from restoring her single status. It is a routine procedure to separate division of assets from marital status.
