Slim 400 has been shot and killed in Los Angeles.

The West Coast rapper and YG affiliate was gunned down Wednesday night (Dec. 8) in Inglewood, Calif. Officers on patrol heard gunshots and responded to find a man on the ground with gunshot wounds, according to Inglewood police Lt. Neil Cochran.

The victim was treated by paramedics at the scene and rushed to Harbor-UCLA Medical Center, where he died, the L.A. County Fire Department told CBSLA.

Details surrounding the shooting remain unclear, but an investigation is underway. No arrests have been made and there is no word on a motive yet.

Born in Germany, Slim moved to Los Angeles as a child and was raised in Compton. He had collaborated with YG on songs including 2016’s “Bruisin,” as well as “Goapele” and “Piru” off his 2017 EP All Blassik.

The hip-hop community mourned the loss including Zoey Dollaz, who paid tribute to his friend, tweeting, “I tell a bitch ni**a holllldddd upppppp… 🗣 RIP SLIM 400.. rest in heaven to my dawg!”

In 2019, Slim was shot nine times in L.A. but survived. He claims he was visiting family in Compton when he was ambushed.

Slim 400 was 33 years old.
