Machine Gun Kelly has beef with the Grammys.
The nominations for the 64th annual ceremony were announced on Tuesday and the rocker’s name was nowhere to be found. Taking to Twitter, MGK reacted to being shut out of the nominations once again.
“wtf is wrong with the grammys,” he tweeted.
The “bloody valentine” hitmaker has never been nominated for a Grammy even though his most recent album, Tickets to My Downfall, was released within the eligibility period for this year’s awards.
On Sunday, MGK did take home the award for Favorite Rock Artist at the American Music Awards. “winning a fan voted award >>>>,” he tweeted.
He wasn’t the only one who didn’t get love from the Grammys. Other omissions this year included Normani, Miley Cyrus, and Polo G.
Despite saying he would boycott the Grammys, The Weeknd was nominated for three awards for his contributions to Doja Cat’s Planet Her (Deluxe) and Kanye West’s Donda.
Jon Batiste, Justin Bieber, Doja Cat, and H.E.R. lead the nominations for the 2021 ceremony, which will air live on Jan. 31.
