Ye has more to say.
On Thursday night, “Drink Champs” released the second part of its explosive interview with the artist formerly known as Kanye West. During his conversation with N.O.R.E. and DJ EFN, Ye responded to critics who call him “crazy.”
He recalled his first visit to anger management when he was still dating Amber Rose, which was the gateway to him being diagnosed with bipolar disorder.
“When I slammed that paparazzi that day, they made me go to anger management,” said Ye. “That was the beginning of my medication. That was the snowball [that] eventually [had me] diagnosed as bipolar.”
Ye said the “crazy” label that is placed on him is just an excuse to hide the truth. “Anytime somebody wants to say that I’m wrong about something, hide the truth, lie…they say Ye’s crazy. It’s just the ultimate final cut off to not have to listen.”
He continued, “Stop talking, stop thinking, stop feeling, you crazy. Stop being like I don’t like that one Drake line, you crazy. Stop being like, damn I was the Louis Vuitton Don, now he got Virgil and the Nikes at the same time, you crazy.”
He also brought up other examples including his 2020 bid for president. “Oh, you ain’t voting for Kamala, you ain’t voting for Biden, you crazy. Oh, you running for president, you crazy.”
But Ye said he’s the one having the last laugh, citing his self-reported net worth of $9 billion. “OK, I’m crazy, but what y’all gon’ do about it? Oh, this shit over with now. I’m 9 billi crazy up out here.”
He also had a message for his critics. “Y’all not gonna diminish what I’m doing and what God is doing with me in the future by trying to cut my legs off or cut my influence off by calling me crazy. That don’t work.”
As for those who think he needs to be medicated, he said, “I know what’s going on and I’m not having it. I’m Buffalo Bill…I’m not having none of it from nobody, ever, period.”
Elsewhere in the interview, Ye said that he’s trying to save his marriage despite the divorce proceedings. He speculated that those close to Kim Kardashian are “plants” who are trying to turn her against him.
“But at the end of the day, I ain’t got the paperwork yet,” he said, “so I’ma come on this joint and try to save my family and keep my family together.”
