Drake is revealing some Certified Lover Boy artwork outtakes.
Taking to Instagram, he shared some of the alternate covers that didn’t make the cut. One of them features a photo of Drake, shot by Luis Mora, with a woman hugging him. In another, designed by Theo Skudra, Drake is pictured in a NOCTA football jersey with a rose in his mouth. Milo Manara’s outtake features an illustration of a woman sucking a lollipop, while another shows a mystery woman’s lipstick kiss.
“Certified Original Kiss by ???” Drake captioned the latter pic.
There is also a Damien Hirst-designed cover filled with pregnant woman emojis, but Drake ultimately chose a simpler version as the official CLB cover.
Certified Lover Boy debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 with the biggest week of 2021. The 21-track project opened with 613,000 equivalent album units, the largest week for an album since Taylor Swift’s Folklore in August 2020.
The Toronto rapper also made history as the first artist to place nine songs in the top 10 simultaneously on the Billboard Hot 100. His Future and Young Thug collaboration “Way 2 Sexy” debuted at No. 1, earning Drake his ninth leader on the chart.
