Tory Lanez’s bail is going up.
A judge has increased the rapper’s bail after prosecutors say he violated a protective order to stay away from Megan Thee Stallion when he came within 100 yards of her at Rolling Loud Miami last month.
Lanez appeared in an L.A. courtroom on Monday (Aug. 23) where he was ordered to post a higher bail amount to stay out of jail while his criminal case is pending. He avoided jail time, but his bail was increased from $190,000 to $250,000.
According to The Shade Room, prosecutors asked the judge to revoke Tory’s bond or increase his bail to $500,000, but the judge raised it to half that. The terms of his bail were also modified to prohibit Tory from attending events where Megan will be present. The judge warned that if this issue comes up again, he will be remanded into custody.
Earlier this month, prosecutors filed a motion to hold Tory in contempt for violating the restraining order that requires him to stay at least 100 yards away from Megan. He made a surprise appearance at Rolling Loud in Miami on July 25, just moments after Megan performed on the same stage. Megan was reportedly still backstage when DaBaby brought out Tory, but he claims he did not come in contact with her.
Lanez was charged with felony assault for allegedly shooting Megan in the foot. He faces up to 22 years in prison if convicted.
