Wale wants his flowers.

The D.C. rapper took to Twitter to once again declare himself one of the greatest rappers of all time, putting himself in a category alongside greats like The Notorious B.I.G., Tupac Shakur, JAY-Z, and Nas.

“When I say I’m one of the greatest rappers of all time . I mean it with all my heart,” he tweeted before explaining why he’s worthy of GOAT status.

“I’ve put out more QUALITY music than most . My deep cuts are crazy . My singles all got plaques . Decade plus. THAT is why I’m heavy on the gratitude,” he added.

After receiving some backlash in the comments section of The Shade Room, Wale defended himself. “Literally every great artist tells u . Literally . They want me dim my light so bad. I can’t tho,” said Wale, whose debut album Attention Deficit dropped 12 years ago.

He also responded to his critics, including one fan who said Nicki Minaj was a better rapper, to which Wale agreed.

This is not the first time Wale has made the bold proclamation. In 2019, he tweeted a similar statement.

Wale plans to show more of his greatness on his upcoming album Folarin 2, due later this year. He recently dropped his new single “Down South” featuring Yella Beezy and Maxo Kream, which follows “Angles” with Chris Brown.
