DJ Khaled is recovering after a battle with COVID-19.

The Father of Asahd returned to social media on Thursday (Aug. 12) to reveal that he and his family contracted the coronavirus and have since recovered.

“My family and I recovered from COVID and we’re all good now!!” Khaled told his 25 million Instagram followers.

It’s unclear if all four members of his family had COVID, but he shared a slideshow of photos that included his wife, Nicole, and their two sons, Aalam and Asahd. Khaled, who is known for his active social media use, went off the grid for three weeks and had not updated his Instagram or Twitter accounts.

He went on to thank the doctors and his team for all their help during the recovery process. “Thank you grateful for all the love grateful for everyone checking in on my family and I!” he wrote. “Please be safe out there! Please take care of yourself.”

Added Khaled, “God is the greatest! God love us and we love God! Thank you everyone!”

Earlier in the week, Khaled received two nominations at the 2021 MTV VMAs including Best Direction and Video of the Year for “POPSTAR,” his collaboration with Drake and Justin Bieber.

COVID cases have been on the rise as the Delta variant spreads across the U.S. Other artists including Wiz Khalifa and The Kid LAROI recently revealed that they had COVID.
