Young Thug has money on his mind.

The Atlanta superstar reveals that his goal is to become the richest Black man in the world. Speaking with Rolling Stone for the cover of the magazine, Thugger opened up about his big plans.

When asked if he wants to follow rappers like Kanye West or JAY-Z, who have amassed a fortune beyond music, he responds, “Yeah, I want to be the richest Black man in the world.”

The 29-year-old mogul is well on his way to building his own empire with his successful label, Young Stoner Life Records, which includes Gunna and Lil Keed. “If I have 100 artists, at least 97 or 98 of them going to prosper,” says a confident Thug. “That’s just the look we got, you know what I’m saying?”

Kanye West is currently the wealthiest rapper with a fortune estimated at $1.3 billion, according to Forbes, followed by fellow billionaire JAY-Z.

Elsewhere in his Rolling Stone profile, Thug reveals that he recently collaborated with Elton John on a top-secret project “that no one involved is at liberty to say much more about.” The two previously worked together on “High” off Thug’s 2018 EP On the Rvn.

But first, Thug plans to release his second studio album Punk on Oct. 15. He previewed four tracks off the “experimental” project–“Die Slow,” “Droppin Jewels,” “Hate the Game,” and “Tick Tock”–during a set for NPR’s Tiny Desk (home) concert.
