Sean “Diddy” Combs is under new management.
The hip-hop tycoon has hired The Weeknd’s manager Wassim “Sal” Slaiby to represent him, Billboard reports. Slaiby’s roster of talent also includes Doja Cat, French Montana, Brandy, Ty Dolla $ign, and more.
The move comes as Diddy gears up for a new album as part of his long-awaited “Love” era. He has been in the studio with producers and songwriters including BongoByTheWay, Mario Winans, London On Da Track, Stacy Barthe, and James Fauntleroy.
“I’m making a classic,” he recently tweeted.
The 51-year-old mogul hasn’t released an official project since his 2015 mixtape MMM (Money Making Mitch). In May, he legally changed his middle name from “Diddy” to “Love.”
In 2019, Diddy announced that he was taking a break from music, but he returned to the studio in January 2021. “To be honest, I’ve been in semi-retirement,” he told Rolling Stone at the time. “If you don’t see my name on all the Top 10 records, that means I’m not making music.”
