DaBaby is being questioned over his alleged involvement in a Miami Beach shooting.
Two people were injured, with one in critical condition, following a street gun battle near several popular restaurants on South Beach just before midnight on Monday (May 31).
Miami Beach police spokesman Ernesto Rodriguez tells Local 10 News that “several possible subjects” have been detained including DaBaby after he and his entourage were suspected to be involved in the shooting.
“DaBaby and his crew had an issue with people right next to them in the car,” a source tells Page Six. “DaBaby and his crew were traveling in around six SUVs, and either a car pulled up on them and started something or their doors hit each other and they got in a fight.”
“Rumor has it that DaBaby and 10 to 12 members of his entourage have been detained by police.”
Multiple people called 911 after reportedly hearing gunshots. Police arrived at the scene to find two people who had been shot–one in the leg, the other in the shoulder. Both victims were rushed to Jackson Memorial Hospital’s Ryder Trauma Center.
Police appeared to take two men into custody, while detectives temporarily shut down the MacArthur Causeway. No arrests have been made so far. Anyone with information is being asked to call Miami-Dade Crime Stoppers.
In January, DaBaby was arrested on Rodeo Drive in Beverly Hills for allegedly carrying a loaded firearm.
