Saweetie is causing a commotion with her new single “Fast (Motion).”
Inspired by Miami dance culture, the infectious track finds Saweetie celebrating her wins. “I can’t help I was born like this,” she raps. “Ain’t my fault that you want my drip.”
In the larger-than-life video, the Icy athlete swerves into action, rocking sports-themed looks while racing cars, jumping out of a plane, scoring a touchdown, and going one-on-one with WNBA MVP A’ja Wilson. She also shines a spotlight on some of the Black-owned brands she consumes.
“Fast (Motion)” is the latest offering from Saweetie’s long-awaited debut album, Pretty B*tch Music, which is set for release on June 25. The project has already spawned the hit singles “Best Friend” featuring Doja Cat and “Back to the Streets” with Jhené Aiko.
“The world is going to be shocked by my new music,” Saweetie told W Magazine. “From now on, I think they’re going to be shocked by everything I do.”
Last month, the Billboard Music Awards nominee dropped the first installment of her Pretty Summer Playlist on which she showcased rising stars including Kendra Jae, Lourdiz, and L.A.’s own Drakeo the Ruler.
