Usher is making it rain with his own currency.
The R&B superstar is being exposed after he allegedly threw fake money during a recent visit to a Las Vegas strip club. The fake bills, which are being dubbed “Usher Bucks,” feature a photo of the singer’s face to promote his upcoming Vegas residency. But one of the women who danced for Usher did not appreciate his form of payment and took to social media to call him out.
“The money does not have a trade in value what so ever!” wrote the dancer, who goes by @beel0ove on Instagram. “Don’t y’all think he should be blasted on social media for this shit?”
Her friend reposted a photo of the Usher Bucks on her Instagram Story and blasted Usher for being “so disrespectful” and “cheap ASF.” “Exactly why we stay away from celebs most of the time they suck,” she added.
Usher Bucks began trending as Twitter chimed in with memes and jokes.
Usher, who is gearing up to launch his Las Vegas residency at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace on July 16, was previously seen toting around a clear suitcase filled with the fake Usher Bucks.
UPDATE: The strip club tells TMZ that Usher spent thousands of real dollars on the dancers and that the fake money was not used as payment. In fact, he reportedly tipped the staff “quite generously.” Someone in his crew left behind the Usher Bucks as a gag to promote his Vegas residency.
