Quavo and Saweetie’s elevator fight has caught the attention of the police.
According to TMZ, the Los Angeles Police Department has launched an investigation into their physical altercation. Detectives have seen the viral video, filmed last year, which shows the now former couple fighting in the elevator of Saweetie’s apartment complex.
The fight could be considered a domestic violence case, with both parties in the wrong. Cops want to interview both Quavo and Saweetie separately to determine what happened before and after the elevator surveillance footage was captured.

Earlier in the week, footage surfaced of a physical altercation that occurred prior to the couple’s breakup. The surveillance clip shows them struggling over an orange Call of Duty case. Saweetie seems to take the first swing at Quavo before he grabs her by the arm and drags her to the elevator floor. She remains on the floor until the elevator eventually stops and she limps out.
The incident could lead to a criminal case. Once LAPD finishes their investigation, they will likely turn it over to the City Attorney who will review for possible charges.
Neither Quavo nor Saweetie has addressed the video. However, Offset seemingly sided with his Migos brother by liking a post from rapper Trouble that declared Quavo’s innocence.
The couple, who began dating in 2018, announced their breakup last month. Saweetie hinted that Quavo was unfaithful during the relationship, while he told her, “You are not the woman I thought you were.”
