Lil Baby met the GOAT at the Grammys.
Not only did he perform at Sunday’s show, but the Atlanta rapper got to link up with one of his idols, JAY-Z. An excited Baby shared his reaction to meeting Hov for the first time. According to Baby, the Roc Nation mogul told his security to fall back and walk with Beyoncé so he could have a one-on-one with Baby.
“I met jay z,” tweeted Baby. “He let the security walk with bey an he walked by his self. Boss Shìt.”
Baby, who attended the Grammys with his mother, delivered a powerful performance of his Grammy-nominated single “The Bigger Picture” that featured appearances from Killer Mike, activist Tamika Mallory, and “Insecure” actor Kendrick Sampson.
While he didn’t win, the twice-nominated Baby still celebrated the nominations. “This Shit Be For The Trenches Fr ! Grammys Wasn’t Even Apart Of The Plan,” he wrote.
Lil Baby’s collaboration with Drake, “Wants and Needs,” debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard Hot 100 this week, his highest placement yet. He also teased an upcoming remix to his single “On Me” with a female artist.
