50 Cent may not be interested in battling Ja Rule, but there is one Verzuz matchup he would like to see.
While promoting his Branson cognac on Instagram Live (via HipHop-N-More), the “Power” mogul suggested a potential showdown between Drake and Lil Wayne. When asked who would be a worthy opponent for each, 50 proposed that they should battle one another.
“I think because of the momentum, the best thing would be Lil Wayne vs. Drake,” he said before explaining why. “It’s two different styles in the same period so it will be entertaining enough to watch both of them.”
According to 50, Drake vs. Lil Wayne would be more of a celebration and not contentious like Gucci Mane and Jeezy’s battle. “It won’t be negative so it might not get the same attention as ‘I’m smoking on Pookie Loc,'” he said.
This wouldn’t be the first time the Young Money duo has faced off. They previously battled with their biggest hits on 2014’s “Drake vs. Lil Wayne” tour.
As for 50, Ja Rule has proposed a Verzuz challenge, but it’s unlikely to happen. “Everybody don’t want this smoke. I got heat,” Ja recently told HipHopDX. “Let me tell you something, when I do my shows, I can rock. I’m telling you, it’s like an hour of straight hit records. No filler. All crab meat, n***a. All meat in that motherfu**in’ crab cake.”
