Big Sean honors his past in the video for “Wolves.”

In the dark and haunting clip, directed by Kid. Studio, the Detroit rapper celebrates his roots while paying homage to those who raised him including his mother, Myra Anderson, who makes a cameo. Sean puts it down for his pack, while real life wolves run around the set.

“[That song is about] my family growing up,” he told EW. “Everybody’s in there, my grandma, my mom, my brother — it’s like they were a pack of wolves and they were the sweetest and strongest. It’s one of my favorites on the album.”

The collaboration came about after Sean ran into Posty at a restaurant. “It was like a mutual-respect-type of exchange. We were both working, so I’m like, ‘I got this song. See what you think.’ When I sent it to him he was like, ‘Man, this is incredible. I have to, let’s do it.'”

“Wolves” is the most-streamed track on Sean’s album Detroit 2, which dropped in September and also features appearances from Travis Scott, Jhené Aiko, Young Thug, Lil Wayne, and more. He previously dropped videos for “ZTFO” and “Lithuania.”
