Tory Lanez has been ordered to stay away from Megan Thee Stallion.

The Canadian rapper was scheduled to be arraigned on charges of assault with a firearm and possession of an unregistered gun on Tuesday, but the hearing has been postponed to Nov. 18 after his attorney requested a continuance. According to TMZ, Tory appeared by phone for Tuesday’s hearing in L.A. County court and did not enter a plea.

The judge did, however, issue a protective order against Tory. He must remain at least 100 yards away from Megan and not contact her. He must also surrender any guns he owns.

Last week, Tory spoke out after he was charged with one felony count of assault with a semiautomatic firearm and one count of carrying a loaded, unregistered firearm in a vehicle. “[Time] will [tell] … and the truth will come to the light … I have all faith in God to show that,” he tweeted.

Earlier today, Megan addressed the July 12 shooting while defending Black women in an op-ed for The New York Times. “Black women are still constantly disrespected and disregarded in so many areas of life,” she said. “I was recently the victim of an act of violence by a man. After a party, I was shot twice as I walked away from him. We were not in a relationship. Truthfully, I was shocked that I ended up in that place.”

Tory plans to post bail, which has been set at $190,000. If convicted, he faces a maximum sentence of 22 years and eight months in state prison.
