Tory Lanez is ready to break his silence.
The singer-rapper plans to address his fans for the first time since the shooting involving Megan Thee Stallion. He will make his announcement at 9 p.m. PST tonight. It’s unclear whether he will go live on Instagram or release a statement.
“To my fans … I’m sorry for my silence …. but respectfully .. I got time today …… 9 PM PST,” Tory tweeted.
This marks his first tweet since July 11, the night before he allegedly shot Megan Thee Stallion. Tory was arrested for possession of a concealed weapon. The L.A. County District Attorney is reportedly considering a felony assault charge, but so far, no other charges have been filed.
During an Instagram livestream on Aug. 20, Megan publicly accused Tory of shooting her following a dispute in the Hollywood Hills. “Yes, this ni**a Tory shot me,” she said. “You shot me, and you got your publicist and your people going to these blogs lying and shit. Stop lying.”
Tory reportedly apologized to Megan in a text shortly after the shooting. “I know u prolly never gone talk to me again, but I genuinely want u to know I’m sorry from the bottom of my heart,” he allegedly wrote, while claiming that he was intoxicated. “I was just too drunk.”
His announcement was not well received on social media, with many criticizing his decision for a public spectacle.
