Silentó was arrested after he allegedly entered a stranger’s house and threatened them with a deadly weapon.
The “Watch Me (Whip/Nae Nae)” rapper, whose real name is Richard Lamar Hawk, was taken into custody on Saturday (Aug. 29) when he walked into a random house in Valley Village, Calif. with a hatchet in hand. According to ABC7, he was trying to find his girlfriend.
The homeowners and their children were home at the time but were unharmed. Someone in the house screamed for help while others took him down and disarmed him, reports TMZ. Shortly afterward, Silentó’s friend arrived and told him it was the wrong house and they fled.
Cops were called and Silentó was arrested and charged with two felony counts of assault with a deadly weapon. He is currently being held on a $250,000 bond with a deadly weapon.
The previous day, Silentó was arrested by Santa Ana, Calif. police after a report of a domestic disturbance. He was booked and released on a charge of inflicting corporal injury on a spouse or cohabitant.
Silentó rose to fame with his 2015 hit single “Watch Me (Whip/Nae Nae),” which peaked at No. 3 on the Billboard Hot 100 and spawned a viral dance craze.
