Tiffany Haddish and Common are making it official.
After remaining coy about their rumored romance, the actress has confirmed that she is dating the Chicago MC.
“This is hands down the best relationship I’ve ever been in,” she told “Steve-O’s Wild Ride!” podcast. “I’ve lost 20 pounds since I’ve been in this relationship. I feel more confident in me and it’s not him that’s doing it.”
Haddish, 40, continued to gush about the Grammy-winning rapper, 48. “I’m just way happier and it’s like knowing I got somebody that cares about me, that really has my back. It seems like he does anyways. And I love it. I love him.”
The two met on set of the 2019 crime drama The Kitchen. “I guess he was kinda like my love interest,” she said. “I made out with him in the movie and we became friends, but it wasn’t like anything sexual or anything like that because my eyes were set on something else.”
Haddish joined the dating app Bumble in May 2019 and started casually dating before her relationship with Common became more serious. “At this point our friendship was getting a little more than friendship but not quite ’cause COVID happened and we were quarantined,” she said.
She introduced him to Bumble and together they helped raised money for healthcare workers and restaurants during the pandemic and even went on a virtual date. But their quarantine romance eventually turned into more. “He got tested for everything, I got tested for everything, and yeah, we been fu**in’,” added Haddish.
While this is Haddish’s first celebrity relationship (she was previously married to a man named William Stewart), Common has previously been in high-profile relationships with Serena Williams, Erykah Badu, and Angela Rye.
