6LACK is coming in hot.
After putting his music on hold in support of the Black community, the Atlanta crooner is ready to deliver his new EP, 6 PC HOT.
The six-track project has already produced “ATL Freestyle,” while the next single “Float” drops Wednesday in honor of his birthday.
6LACK delayed the EP in the wake of the murders of innocent Black men and women. “i am black. i am proud of it. and i want to live in a world that doesn’t exclude, mock, abuse, or curse me,” he wrote in an open letter. “I’ve never turned away from the things that involve my community and i never will. i’m proud of my people, i’m proud of anyone that has come to stand with us, and however many times as we have to come together to bring an actual change, we will.”
He has also added a new section to his 6LACKBOX website with information and resources for voting, supporting Black businesses, and other social justice events. Additionally, it will contain content leading up to his upcoming third studio album, including snippets of unreleased music, the East Atlanta Love Letter movie that he premiered at his album release event in Atlanta, and never-before-seen photos.
6LACK is keeping the release date under wraps for now. Along with the EP, he is launching a hot sauce called 600 Degrees, the perfect companion as fans listen to 6 PC HOT.
