While fans await Culture III, Migos is holding them over with new music.

Quavo has revealed that the Atlanta trio is thinking about dropping a mixtape during the lockdown. The rapper, who turned 29 this week, made the announcement on Twitter, describing the project as “Day 1 Shit.”

“Quarantine Mixtape?? Jus To Keep Y’all Straight,” he tweeted.

After that, Migos will drop its long-awaited album Culture III. “Then Culture 3. When All This Is Over! Y’all Fuck Wit That? Cuz We Ready To Drop. ASAP Original Migo Mixtape!!! Day 1 Shit.”

During a recent interview with Billboard, Quavo opened up about the follow-up to 2018’s Culture II. “The album is good and the people we got on it is very, very tough,” he said.

Earlier this year, Migos teamed up with Young Thug and Travis Scott on the DJ Durel and Murda Beatz-produced “Give No Fxk,” their first music since August’s Quality Control: Control the Streets Volume 2.

On Thursday, Quavo celebrated his 29th birthday by hosting a virtual party on Instagram Live with guests including Offset, Takeoff, and Saweetie.
