Kendrick Lamar is headed to Glastonbury.
The Compton rapper is among the headliners for the 50th anniversary of the U.K. festival, which is slated to take place June 24-28 in Pilton, Somerset, in England. He joins previously-announced headliners Taylor Swift, Paul McCartney, and Diana Ross.
This year’s all-star lineup also includes Anderson .Paak, FKA twigs, TLC, Burna Boy, Camila Cabello, Lana Del Rey, Kelis, EarthGang, and more. More performers will be announced in the weeks ahead.
The announcement comes amid the cancelation and postponement of many global festivals due to concerns surrounding the coronavirus outbreak.
“As things stand we are still working hard to deliver our 50th anniversary Festival in June and we are very proud of the bill that we have put together over the last year or so,” said Glastonbury organizer Emily Eavis. “No one has a crystal ball to see exactly where we will all be 15 weeks from now, but we are keeping our fingers firmly crossed that it will be here at Worthy Farm for the greatest show on Earth!”
Kendrick, whose last album was 2017’s DAMN, recently announced his pgLang venture billed as a multilingual collective who tells stories through media including music, film, television, and books. He also released an accompanying visual starring Yara Shahidi, Baby Keem, and Jorja Smith.
