DaBaby has found himself in more trouble.
After being arrested and charged with battery earlier this month, the “Suge” rapper is being accused of attacking a Beverly Hills hotel employee who tried to take a photo of him last month.
According to TMZ, the man followed DaBaby outside the lobby to get a pic. After DaBaby turned him down, he walked back inside before DaBaby and his crew followed him. Video footage shows him being pushed into a chair against the wall while DaBaby gets in his face.
DaBaby left the hotel before any further incident and cops were not called.
After TMZ posted the video on Saturday, DaBaby issued a response. In a lengthy Instagram post, he explained his side of the story. “That hotel worker you see me ‘pushing’ came up to me outside the hotel & asked could he record a video of me while I was holding my 2year old daughter,” he said. “I calmly and respectfully said no and explained to him that him posting a video of me at the time would compromise the safety of me and my child by letting social media know where we were staying.”
After being “politely” told no, the man still decided to film DaBaby and his daughter from afar and post the footage to Snapchat. That’s when DaBaby approached him and asked him to delete the video. “I told him to delete the video immediately and take his bitch ass back in the hotel and do his job since he wasn’t capable of being professional enough to abide by company policy while doing his job outside of the hotel,” he said.
He claimed he was protecting his daughter. “Upon entering the hotel I made him sit down and understand the fact that NO video is worth the safety of my child being compromised,” he added. “Especially after I politely explained to him the reasoning behind me saying no. Not to mention the fact that he is at work and his job is to valet park cars not record customers and violate their privacy which I’m 100% sure is against employee policy at the Hotel.”
He also called out TMZ for their attempt to “assassinate” his character with “incomplete and judgmental stories.” Furthermore, he threatened to take legal action against the hotel if they don’t provide the footage of his interaction with the employee prior to the altercation. “I got a big pretty ass lawsuit otw with their name on it,” he said.
DaBaby has had his share of run-ins in the past. Last year, he reportedly attacked a fan outside the Louis Vuitton store in North Carolina and beat a fan outside a concert in Massachusetts after the man asked for a photo. Earlier this month, he allegedly got into an altercation with a promoter who shortchanged him on his payment, which led to an arrest and battery charge.
In response to the latest incident, DaBaby’s attorney tells TMZ: “Any actions taken by DaBaby were likely in self defense based upon his recall of the events and until the video is thoroughly reviewed we have no further comment at this time.”
