Joy to the world.

As promised, the Sunday Service Choir delivers its new album, Jesus Is Born, on Christmas Day. Executive produced by Kanye West, the 19 tracks feature gospel-inspired remixes of Kanye tracks including “Ultralight Beam,” “Father Stretch My Hands,” and “Fade,” along with the choir’s renditions of SWV’s “Weak” and Soul II Soul’s “Back to Life.” The spiritual set also includes gospel tunes like Shirley Caesar’s “Satan, We’re Gonna Tear Your Kingdom Down” and “Revelations 19:1.”

Kanye has been leading his weekly Sunday Service performances across the globe since January, attracting large crowds and celebrity guests. Jesus Is Born marks the first official album from the choir.

“It’s just an idea we had to open up our hearts to make music that we felt was as pure and as positive as possible and just do it for an hour every Sunday, and have something where people can just come together and feel good with their families,” Kanye said during an interview David Letterman earlier this year.

Jesus Is Born follows the chart-topping Jesus Is King, which dropped in October. Kanye previously told Apple Music’s Zane Lowe that the project would arrive on Christmas. Last month, he also teased a sequel to Jesus Is King with Dr. Dre.
