J. Cole is going back to no features.

After working with everyone from 6LACK to Young Thug, the Dreamville boss has announced that he is done with features. His last featured verse appears on Gang Starr’s comeback record “Family and Loyalty,” which dropped Friday.

“This a honor to be on this song. NEW Gang Starr,” tweeted Cole. “This is the last feature you’ll hear from me. Thank you to everybody I got to work with during this run.”

Cole, who previously shied away from guest appearances, has had an impressive run over the past year. His list of collaborators includes Ty Dolla $ign, Young Thug, 21 Savage, Rapsody, Moneybagg Yo, 6LACK, Offset, and more. In July, he released Dreamville’s Revenge of the Dreamers III compilation featuring a series of collaborations.

During an interview with GQ earlier this year, he opened up about his decision to work with other artists. “I’ve reached a point in my life, where I’m like, ‘How long am I gonna be doing this for?'” he said. “I’m starting to realize like, oh shit–let’s say I stopped this year. I would feel like I missed out on certain experiences, you know? Working with certain artists, being more collaborative, making more friends out of peers, making certain memories that I feel like if I don’t, I’m gonna regret it one day.”

Cole is now readying his sixth solo album, the follow-up 2018’s KOD. If it’s like his past three albums, which went platinum with no features, it won’t contain any guests.
