Are Rihanna and Megan Thee Stallion cooking up a collaboration?
The rumor mill is in overdrive over the potential pairing after a song called “Whip It” showed up in the publishing database for Society of European Stage Authors and Composers (SESAC). Fans noticed the song listed alongside past Rihanna hits like “What’s My Name?,” “Raining Men,” and “FourFiveSeconds.”
While there is no confirmation that the song actually exists, publishers sometimes register tracks in advance of their release.
It’s no secret that Rihanna has been working on her long-awaited ninth album. She confirmed the reggae-inspired project during an interview with T magazine in May, but a release date remains unknown.
Meanwhile, the “Hot Girl” herself recently revealed that Rihanna is at the top of her wish list of collaborators. “I definitely wanna collab with Rihanna,” Megan told E!’s “Daily Pop.” “That’s next on my bucket list. The Bad Gal and the Hot Girl? That would be crazy.”
But first, Megan is set to release a video for her “Hot Girl Summer” collaboration with Nicki Minaj and Ty Dolla $ign. Earlier this week, she teased the video, which is expected to premiere in the next week.
