Meek Mill, Rapsody, and Meghan Trainor have signed on as the NFL’s first Inspire Change advocates.

As part of their new partnership, the NFL and Roc Nation have announced the launch of Inspire Change apparel and Songs of the Season. All three artists will perform a free concert at Chicago’s Grant Park on Sept. 5 during the “NFL Kickoff Experience.” A portion of Meek and Trainor’s performances will air during a 40-minute televised pre-game show.

According to a press release, Inspire Change apparel will fund Inspire Change programs across the country, with proceeds benefitting education and economic empowerment, police and community relations, and criminal justice reform. Songs of the Season is a “multi-tier season-long initiative” that will showcase superstars and emerging artists and integrate their songs in NFL promotions. The songs will be released to digital streaming platforms with proceeds going toward the Inspire Change program.

This marks JAY-Z’s first order of business since announcing his controversial partnership with the NFL. The deal has been celebrated by many including Diddy and Cardi B, while others like Damon Dash and Irv Gotti have criticized JAY for turning his back on Colin Kaepernick.

Meek, who is a Roc Nation client along with Rapsody, has applauded the partnership. “real goat shit,” he tweeted after the deal was announced, adding, “Roc nation does it again ….”
