President Obama’s playlist is a whole mood.
As summer comes to a close, the 44th president has shared the 44 songs that soundtrack his summer. The playlist, which includes “some new, some old, some fast, some slow,” features some of today’s biggest hip-hop and R&B hits and several surprises.
“With summer winding down, here’s a sampling of what Michelle and I have been listening to — some new, some old, some fast, some slow. Hope you enjoy,” tweeted the former POTUS.
It all kicks off with Drake and Rihanna’s “Too Good,” and includes R&B jams like SZA’s “Go Gina,” Ella Mai’s “Boo’d Up,” and Daniel Caesar and H.E.R.’s “Best Part.”
The President and former First Lady Michelle Obama have also been bumping 2 Chainz (“It’s a Vibe”), Q-Tip (“Believe”), and the late Mac Miller (“Dang!”) in their massive new crib in Martha’s Vineyard, which they recently purchased for around $15 million.
In addition to hits like Lil Nas X and Billy Ray Cyrus’ “Old Town Road (Remix)” and Shawn Mendes and Camila Cabello’s “Señorita,” classics from Stevie Wonder, The Rolling Stones, and Van Morrison made the cut, along with buzzing tracks from GoldLink (“Joke Ting”) and Koffee (“Toast”).
Hip-hop’s first family, Beyoncé and JAY-Z, are also included twice with “MOOD 4 EVA” off The Lion King: The Gift and DJ Khaled’s “Shining.”
