Aaliyah is being immortalized in wax.

Madame Tussauds Las Vegas is honoring the iconic singer on the 18th anniversary of her death with her very own wax figure, which was officially unveiled to the public on Wednesday.

The figure is a nod to Baby Girl’s iconic look from her 2000 video for “Try Again,” complete with bedazzled bra, rhinestone choker, and leather pants. Aaliyah’s family including her brother Rashad Haughton were instrumental in the creation and design process.

“I was involved in the process from the inception of the project,” Haughton told Vibe. “The team at Madame Tussauds welcomed a collaborative effort in choosing the pose and look of my sister’s figure. They made sure my mother and I were comfortable and supported through an amazing but understandably emotional process.”

The design team at Madame Tussauds in London made sure that all of Aaliyah’s family’s requests were honored, including her tattoos. “One thing we made sure to include was all of my sister’s tattoos,” added Haughton, who was on hand for the unveiling. “They are all quite hidden because my sister chose strategic places for them due to her on-camera film work. We know how devout and knowledgeable her fans are and the great artists at Madame Tussauds have no limitations to their abilities when it comes to detail.”

The Aaliyah wax figure joins Madame Tussauds Las Vegas’ ’90s-themed installation, which also includes the Spice Girls, Flavor Flav, Justin Timberlake, and Britney Spears.

Aaliyah’s likeness was unveiled just days before the 18th anniversary of her death. The Princess of R&B died at the age of 22 in a plane crash in the Bahamas on Aug. 25, 2001.
