Kid Cudi is entering the Entergalactic era.
The rapper is readying a new album, which has also inspired an adult animated music series for Netflix. He is teaming up with “Black-ish” creator Kenya Barris on the show, which is described as the first of its kind.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the innovative series will showcase music from Cudi’s upcoming album, which follows a young man on his journey to discover love. Cudi and Barris will write, star, and executive produce the series.
“Entergalactic will be something you’ve never experienced,” tweeted Cudi. “I promise it’ll be a fun ride. Lot of good friends involved. Great songs too! The cast is coming together. I know a year from now seems like forever but itll be here before u know it!”
Cudi has starred in HBO’s “How to Make It in America” and appeared on shows including “Brooklyn Nine-Nine,” “Entourage,” and “Scorpion.” Ian Edelman, who previously collaborated with Cudi on “How to Make It in America,” will write and executive produce “Entergalactic.”
Entergalactic marks Cudi’s first album since 2016’s Passion, Pain & Demon Slayin’, which debuted at No. 11 on the Billboard 200.
