As he gears up for Love Songs 4 the Streets II, Lil Durk teams up with Meek Mill on his new single “Bougie.”
The Dreamchasers MC kicks off the Beat Bully and Jahlil Beats-produced track with a heavy-hitting verse. Durk follows with his own braggadocious rhymes about his lifestyle, designer clothes, and DM’ing J.Lo. “I think I’m bougie / Mike Amiri jeans cost me 2 Gs / I can’t take her to the crib, go get some room keys,” he boasts.
“Bougie” arrives ahead of Durk’s upcoming album Love Songs 4 The Streets II, the sequel to his 2017 album, which drops July 26. “I made LS4TS2 for women, my Day 1’s, the trenches, and all those that doubted me,” said Durk.
The Chicago rapper is out on bond after being arrested in connection to a February shooting outside an Atlanta restaurant. He is awaiting trial after being booked for five felony charges including criminal attempt to commit murder, aggravated assault, possession of a firearm during commission of a felony, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, and another charge of associating with a criminal street gang to participate in a crime.
