The wait is over.
Seventeen years after the release of The Lost Tapes, Nas returns with the highly-anticipated sequel to 2002’s cult classic.
The Lost Tapes 2 features unreleased tracks from Nas’ last four albums including Hip-Hop Is Dead (2006), Untitled (2008), Life Is Good (2012), and Nasir (2018), with production from Pharrell, Swizz Beatz, RZA, No I.D., Hit-Boy, Pete Rock, and Kanye West.
According to Billboard, the album “has most in common sonically with Life Is Good…That is to say, expect more R&B blends and straightforward projects soldier raps.”
And there may be even more Lost Tapes in the vault. During a listening session, Nas revealed that he has enough material for a Lost Tapes 3 and a Lost Tapes 4.
Nas is currently on tour with Mary J. Blige. Their co-headlining “Royalty Tour” travels across the U.S. and Canada through September.
