Bhad Bhabie has earned her share of headlines in the past, but she’s stirring up even more controversy with her latest comments.
The 16-year-old rapper, also known as Danielle Bregoli, took to Instagram Stories (via Complex) to call out her fellow female rappers, saying they’re only popular because of their looks and not their talent.
“Ya’ll will promote half these female rappers that dead ass suck ya’ll only fuck with most of them cuz they pretty or you like they ‘style,'” she wrote.
Bhad Bhabie, who rose to viral fame following her 2016 appearance on “Dr. Phil,” also lashed out at the public for not supporting her because of her background and skin color. “I promise you these bitches anit on that but when it comes to me a bitch that can really rap ya’ll don’t wanna fuck with me cuz how I came up and bc I’m white,” she added.
In a subsequent IG Story post, she named female MCs who she was excluding including Asian Da Brat, Megan Thee Stallion, Maliibu Miitch, Coi Leray, Tokyo Jetz, and Dej Rose Gold.
Some accused her of throwing shade at Cardi B and City Girls with her comments, but Bhad Bhabie shot down the claims. “No cardi b and city girls shade,” she said (via nohipstersblog). “I’m talking about girls that are still kind of under ground Yung Miami jt and cardi already proved they on that.”
In a separate comment, she added, “Don’t b twisting shit for attention.”
After her remarks went viral, she threatened to quit rapping before quickly changing her mind. “I’m done rapping y’all got your wish,” she said. “Nah fuck that – I ain’t quitting shit.”
Despite her frustration, Bhad Bhabie is winning. Earlier this week, it was reported that the “Gucci Flip Flops” hitmaker signed a $1 million worldwide publishing agreement with Pulse Music Group. According to TMZ, she will receive $350,000 upfront followed by two $325,000 payments.
