Jacquees is feeling some type of way.

After being excluded from the nominations for the 2019 BET Awards, the self-proclaimed “King of R&B” took to social media to share his disappointment. “Hold on…How in the f**k am I not nominated for a BET Award?” he asked in a since-deleted video on Tuesday (June 18).

He then turned to someone off camera and asked the same question. “Bruh, how the f**k is that possible?”

He continued to express his surprise over the shutout. “What the f**k? I ain’t gon’ lie,” added Jacquees.” I feel disrespected at this point. Maybe I gotta work harder. But how hard you gotta work when you nominate ni**as that don’t even…nevermind.”

The Cash Money crooner has never been nominated for a BET award. Cardi B leads this year’s nominations with seven, followed by Drake with five. In the Best Male R&B/Pop Artist category, the nominees include Anderson .Paak, Bruno Mars, Childish Gambino, Chris Brown, John Legend, and Khalid.

Despite the snub, Jacquees will perform with Tank during the BET Experience at The Novo on June 20. He is also set to release his second studio album Round 2 on July 19.
