Another one. Two years since his last album, DJ Khaled is back with his 11th studio album Father of Asahd.
On his “greatest body of work,” which he dedicates to his son Asahd and wife Nicole Tuck, the multi-faceted mogul assembles another all-star lineup, with appearances from Cardi B, Chris Brown, Big Sean, SZA, Post Malone, Nas, 21 Savage, Future, and Lil Wayne. The 15 tracks also include the previously-released singles “Top Off” with Beyoncé and JAY-Z and “No Brainer” with Justin Bieber, Chance the Rapper, and Quavo.
Prior to Nipsey Hussle’s death in late March, Khaled also collaborated with the Crenshaw MC and John Legend on the gospel-inspired “Higher.” All proceeds from the song and video will benefit Nipsey’s two children, Emani and Kross.
According to Khaled, Father of Asahd is his best work yet. “We gonna change the game… The 11th album is the new chapter of more success, more blessings, more loves,” he told “Extra.” “Not only is it my best work, that bar going to be high, really high.”
This weekend, he will make his debut on the season finale of “SNL,” which promises to be a star-studded affair. “You’re going to think it’s an award show, all your favorite artists,” he said. “I’m going to make sure we make it the most legendary ‘Saturday Night Live.'”
Khaled also plans to roll out videos for eight of the album’s 15 tracks over the next four days, starting with “Higher” with Nipsey and John Legend.
