Snoop Dogg is keeping Nipsey Hussle close to him.
While The Game and Rick Ross got tattoos, the West Coast OG paid homage to his late friend with a custom necklace. Snoop showed off his new accessory, which features a photo of the 33-year-old MC in an oval pendant surrounded by diamonds with a rainbow-colored chain.
“TMCONTINUES ♿️💙🙏🏾🏁,” Snoop captioned a photo of himself wearing the chain.
Last week, Snoop delivered a tearful tribute to Nipsey at his “Celebration of Life” memorial service at Staples Center in Los Angeles during which he also honored Nipsey’s family. “You may have lost a son, but you picked up another son in me,” he told Nipsey’s father.
Others including The Game and Rick Ross got tattoos in remembrance of the Crenshaw MC, who was shot and killed outside his Marathon Clothing store last month. Rappers like T.I., 2 Chainz, and Meek Mill have also shown their support by purchasing thousands of dollars in merchandise from his store.
Nipsey’s legacy lives on. The intersection of Slauson Avenue and Crenshaw Boulevard will be named “Ermias ‘Nipsey Hussle’ Asghedom Square” in his honor, while his mural appears on a public basketball court outside Crete Academy charter school in the Crenshaw District.
