Police have arrested the man suspected of killing Nipsey Hussle.

The Los Angeles Times reports that 29-year-old Eric Holder was taken into custody on Tuesday afternoon in Bellflower, Calif. Los Angeles police are waiting to confirm the suspect’s identity as Holder.

According to police, Holder walked up to the 33-year-old rapper and two other men and fired numerous shots outside the Marathon Clothing store on Slauson Avenue around 3:20 p.m. on Sunday. Holder escaped in a white 2016 Chevrolet Cruz, driven by an unidentified female, who turned herself in to authorities.

“Mr. Holder walked up on multiple occasions and engaged in a conversation with Nipsey and the others that were there,” said LAPD Chief Michel Moore. “He left and subsequently came back armed with a handgun, and purposefully and repeatedly fired, striking and killing Nipsey Hussle.”

The deadly shooting was reportedly over a personal dispute. Detectives believe Holder has gang ties, but the motive was personal in nature.

Hussle, along with two other victims, were transported to local hospitals, and one refused medical treatment at the scene. The 33-year-old rapper ultimately died of gunshot wounds to the head and torso, according to the Los Angeles County coroner’s office.
