Justin Bieber is putting music on hold to deal with some “deep-rooted issues.”
The pop superstar took to Instagram to address his fans who have been waiting for a new album. Bieber informed them that before he can move forward with new music he must focus on his well-being.
“So I read a lot of messages saying you want an album,” wrote the 25-year-old singer. “I’ve toured my whole teenage life, and early 20s, I realized and as you guys probably saw I was unhappy last tour and I don’t deserve that and you don’t deserve that, you pay money to come and have a lively energetic fun light concert and I was unable emotionally to give you that near the end of the tour.”
He continued, “I have been looking, seeking, trial and error as most of us do, I am now very focused on repairing some of the deep rooted issues that I have as most of us have, so that I don’t fall apart, so that I can sustain my marriage and be the father I want to be.”
While music is still a priority, his family and health comes first. “Music is very important to me but Nothing comes before my family and my health. I will come with a kick ass album ASAP, my swag is undeniable and my drive is indescribable his love is supernatural his grace is that reliable…. the top is where I reside period whether I make music or not the king said so. 👑 but I will come with a vengeance believe that.”
His message was met with support from family and friends. His wife Hailey Baldwin wrote, “that’s right…love you so much it hurts!!!” while DJ Khaled left the prayer hand emoji and his manager Scooter Braun commented, “Yes sir!!!!!”
Last month, E! News reported that Bieber is “batting depression and he’s been having a difficult time.” According to their source, he is in outpatient therapy, adding that he “really wants to get better” and “has been seeking all the help he can get.”
Bieber, who hasn’t released an album since 2015’s Purpose, recently purchased an $8.5 million mansion in Beverly Hills, where he and Hailey had previously been renting.
