Brianna Perry broke onto the scene with her 2011 hit “Marilyn Monroe,” and now she salutes another legend with her latest single “Anita Baker.”

In the video, directed by Omar the Director, the Miami bombshell flaunts her body—in pasties and a sheer black top—while bodying the confident track. “I’ve been on my diva shit, Anita Baker / I’ve been getting so much bread, I need a baker,” she raps while staring at the stars in a Rolls-Royce Wraith. “I’m a Lauryn Hill in a new form,” she adds.

Speaking to Rap-Up, the 27-year-old explained the message behind the empowering anthem. “Sophistication is sexy. Confidence is sexy,” she said. “I’m in your face with it, embracing my femininity and letting it be known that a Queen can deliver King bars. Anything that presents this feeling, describes the term Anita Baker.”

Brianna recently took part in Cardi B’s Fashion Nova collection launch and will perform at Rolling Loud Miami in May.
