2 Chainz is calling on an MVP to assist with his fifth studio album, Rap or Go to the League.

LeBron James will A&R the long-awaited project, which is set for a March 1 release via Def Jam.

The rap and NBA titans sit down for an in-depth interview, which will be released by Apple Music. “I think it would be shocking for people to know how much impact you had on it,” 2 Chainz tells LeBron in the trailer, while LeBron adds, “You got a lot on there. You got a ton of substance.”

Rap or Go to the League, which was first announced in February 2018, marks the follow-up to 2017’s Pretty Girls Like Trap Music. “It’s been quite the journey to get here and I know I’ve kept y’all waiting long enough,” said 2 Chainz. “All night studio sessions, dialing in, reflecting & opening up on these records or as I call it therapy! This is my each one teach one body of work, I wanna celebrate black excellence! ….. ‘Rap Or Go To The League’ the album A&R by @kingjames arrives 3/1.”

In November, 2 Chainz dropped a pair of singles, “Hot Wings” and “Girl’s Best Friend.”
