Khalid is ready to “Talk” that talk.

The R&B crooner returns with the lead single off his upcoming sophomore album, produced by Disclosure. The upbeat love song finds Khalid navigating the waters of a relationship.

“I feel like there’s so much love behind the song,” he told Zane Lowe on Beats 1. “‘Can we just talk about where we’re going, before we get lost?’ Definitely the beginning honeymoon stages of a relationship and the song’s just so much fun.”

Khalid is now readying his sophomore album, the follow-up to 2017’s American Teen, for release this April. “This album is the culmination of all of the growth and experiences I have gathered over the past two remarkable years,” he said. “I have been in the studio pouring my soul and spirit to create a body of work that I hope speaks to each and every one of you and I am excited to share, ‘Talk’ the first taste of that today.”

In October, Khalid dropped his Suncity EP featuring the single “Better,” which is currently No. 23 on the Hot 100. He will perform at Coachella in April.
